About the Virtual Silent Auction and Dr. Mandy Harris Travel Grant

Since 2015, The Cute Syndrome Foundation has hosted the Annual SCN8A Clinician, Researcher, and Family Gathering, a venue for leading clinicians and researchers to share their work, ask questions, and connect with the experts in life with SCN8A: the families. In order to allow as many families impacted by SCN8A to attend this event as possible, The Cute Syndrome Foundation awards the Dr. Mandy Harris Travel Grant, which assists immediate family members of those with SCN8A mutations by covering travel expenses. This year, we were able to award 28 Dr. Mandy Harris Travel Grants to families for the 9th Annual Gathering in Orlando, Florida. Help us continue to bring SCN8A Families together each year by placing a bid in our 2023 Virtual Silent Auction!

Proceeds from the auction go to The Cute Syndrome Foundation's Dr. Mandy Harris Travel Grant, which helps cover travel expenses for families attending the Annual Gathering.

About Dr. Mandy Harris: Dr. Harris was a Pediatric Neurologist at the Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health and was known throughout the SCN8A community for her endless passion and dedication to not only her patients, but our entire community. Parents often share stories of contacting Dr. Harris at all hours of the day and she would respond within hours with encouraging words and treatment recommendations. She provided hope for our community in our darkest days, and we will continue to honor her by helping families attend the annual gathering to learn more about SCN8A and enjoy time with other SCN8A families.
