Starry Night Productions is raising funds to bring the new Jewish Folktale, Hypnagogia to life.

What if the stories we inherit aren't the stories we're meant to pass on?

Hypnagogia is a brand new circus theater production that follows Sylvia, a woman who discovers she is pregnant with a little girl and could not be more thrilled, except for one tiny detail. The curse that has haunted the women in her family for generations will surely be passed on to her child.

As Sylvia journeys through the mysterious space between sleeping and waking, she encounters demons, ancient folklore, and unexpected truths that challenge everything she has been taught. Blending mythology, circus, dance, and an all new score created by Cassidy Bacon and David Rynhart (played live), Hypnagogia is a whimsical exploration of generational stories, fear, and the courage to choose a different future.

Creating original work like this takes an incredible community. Every costume is sewn by hand. Every note of music is composed specifically for this story. Every performer, designer, musician, builder, and technician pours their heart into bringing this world to life.
