I’m reaching out to share our mission with you, with the hope that the music and ministry of Dawn Loves Nash (Traveling Caregivers) has touched your heart. Maybe you’ve felt inspired by our songs, our service, or our unwavering love for caregivers. Maybe we’ve helped you, or perhaps you know what it’s like to give selflessly, to put your own needs aside to care for someone else. Maybe you’re a caregiver yourself, longing for a break you don’t believe is possible.

That was my story.

I was called into a seven-year journey caring full-time for a dear friend with ALS. I had no certifications, just a heart full of love, patience, and a willingness to show up for someone who couldn’t do anything without help. That journey transformed me. With my husband Nash by my side, we founded Traveling Caregivers Ministries, a faith-based 508(c)(1)(a) organization with a mission to care for the caregivers through music, love, and community.

After she passed, we felt led to give away everything we owned and live as nomads, ministers in service to caregivers, trusting our music and love to guide the way. For the past three years, we’ve traveled across the Southeast — Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida, bringing songs, support, and spiritual uplift to caregivers who often feel forgotten.

Sometimes, all someone needs is a reminder of how extraordinary they truly are.

We’ve carried out this mission on faith, self-support, and the kindness of others. Until recently, we traveled in our SUV, which carried us faithfully for thousands of miles until it finally reached the end of its journey. Through prayer and community support, we’ve now been blessed with a minivan, enough to keep us going for the time being and we’re so grateful.

But our mission continues to grow, and we’re still raising funds for a Ford Transit High Roof XLT AWD camper van, a mobile home and headquarters that will allow us to sustainably live, travel, and serve caregivers across the Southeast. This vehicle will help us reach more hearts, host more healing music gatherings, and continue spreading love where it’s needed most.

We already have music ministry events booked into 2026, and this van is essential to keeping our mission alive and moving.

Caregivers pour their hearts and souls into caring for others, often at great personal cost. In the U.S. alone, 54 million unpaid caregivers are tirelessly supporting loved ones battling ALS, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Cancer, Stroke, Parkinson’s, and more. Many are struggling in silence—overwhelmed, unsupported, and facing their own health challenges. As longtime caregivers ourselves, we've lived this reality 24/7. The past 3 years we have been dedicated to helping others navigate daily the emotional, physical, and financial burdens that come with chronic illness caregiving. We've been on a nomadic mission to ensure no caregiver feels alone by bringing our music, support and care to wherever we are called.

Every little bit helps. Even if all of our supporters gave $5 (less than the cost of a Starbucks coffee) it would be an incredible start to helping us help more Caregivers and the patients they care for.

Mission-CARING FOR CAREGIVERS

Our Story:

Three years ago, we left Nashville with nothing but purpose in our hearts and our SUV packed to the brim. We hit the road, trusting that our calling to support caregivers with our music would guide us. Thanks to the kindness of friends, family, and core supporters, we’ve traveled thousands of miles—across Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida—lifting up caregivers wherever we go as we became nomads living on the road full time.

Through music events, songwriting workshops, fundraisers, home visits and hospital visits, we’ve witnessed firsthand the power of connection and healing. Every story shared, every song sung, and every caregiver uplifted has reaffirmed the urgency of this mission.

But we’ve reached a turning point and have an URGENT NEED: Our faithful SUV has carried us as far as it can. To continue this journey and expand our outreach, we need a camper van—our mobile home, office, and sanctuary—to reach more caregivers where they are.

This isn’t just about transportation; it’s about transformation. With a camper van, we can travel farther, stay longer, and provide even more support—through music ministry, events, One-on-One, workshops, hospital visits, fundraisers, advocacy, and community outreach.

Who We Are:

Traveling Caregivers Ministries, SSM, a self-supporting faith based ministry dedicated to empowering caregivers, families, and individuals living with chronic illness was started in 2014. Through a unique blend of music, advocacy, holistic support, and resources we offer respite, inspiration, and love to those who care for others.

At the heart of our mission is 'Dawn Loves Nash', us ahusband-and-wife, music duo traveling across America, using the power of song to uplift and Care for Caregivers.

Dawn’s Story: A Caregivers Journey

Life has a way of guiding us—if we can just pause long enough to listen, our bodies are great indicators. My journey didn’t begin as a caregiver for others, but one for learning how to caregive and heal myself. For years, I battled chronic illness—migraines, autoimmune disorder, Lyme disease, diabetes, and more. My body was failing me, and had no answers, only more tests.

In 2010, I reached my lowest point. I was bedridden for 30 days, lost in exhaustion and uncertainty. I surrendered, not because I wanted to, but because I had no energy left to resist. So, I let go and let God. I allowed myself to rest… and rest.

And then, healing found me.

I learned that caregiving isn’t just about giving to others—it’s about nurturing yourself, self love and trusting the process.

My perspective on caregiving changed forever when I became a live-in caregiver for my friend 24/7, who was diagnosed with stage 4 ALS. She was given one week to live—but through love, faith, and holistic energy work in the present, she defied the odds and lived for seven years showing us all how to surrender to joy.

How Music Became Our Medicine

Music has always been our sanctuary—our prayer, our connection to something greater. It has been our compass through life, a way to communicate beyond words. We saw how our music touched Ann every time we played.

Then in 2022 we began our travels and started to witness something extraordinary—music isn’t just lifting our spirits; it is also transforming the lives of those we are meeting. It brings a lightness to the room, and a feeling of reignited inspiration and faith.

Why Help Us??

For the past three years, Traveling Caregivers Ministries, SSM has been on the road, offering respite, advocacy, and music ministry to caregivers, veterans, foster parents, and communities in need. We’ve done this with limited resources and a deep commitment—but now, it’s time to expand our impact, and our SUV is now needing maintenance that is more than the worth of the vehicle and it is not a safe option for us any longer. It comes with a CLEAN title and we are willing to trade.

We are raising funds to enhance our mission and outreach in four key areas:

1. A Mobile Sanctuary – The Camper Van - Ford Transit Trail XLT/High Roof

Our greatest need is a reliable camper van to serve as a mobile sanctuary—a space for music ministry, caregiver advocacy, and holistic support.

✅ Caregiver Respite & Advocacy – Providing advocacy, support, resources, and encouragement since 2015

✅ Nutritional Meal Plans & Holistic Wellness Resources, Sweet Potato Vegan CookBook – Supporting the health of caregivers and their loved ones since 2015

2019-2022 – Traveling Caregivers hosts Rock ALS – Grassroots fundraiser for ALS caregivers, funds given to families, caregivers, ALS Association and Team Gleason
2014-2016 – Room in the Inn (Nashville, TN) – Music ministry for the homeless

4. Cultivating Community Seed Share – Helping the caregivers of the land.

Caregiving extends beyond people—it’s about caring for the land too. We have been keeping a seed bank collection so that we can distribute non-GMO, organic, heirloom seeds to cooperative farmers, families, and communities as we travel the US. We would like to expand our capabilities allowing us to source more seeds for trade share.
