FAQ:

What will the money go towards?

The money raised by the book fair will be split to fund research travel & pay independent contractors. We're especially hoping to cover the costs of a research trip to Germany to document the career of Michael Kunze and collect interviews for a doc on "Dance of the Vampires".

When will I be billed? Why do you need my card number?

If you placed the highest bid, your payment will be processed automatically when the auction lot closes (just like WhatNot). If you place a buy-it-now order, your payment will process immediately (just like online shopping). Payment data is stored securely through February 28 and will be removed automatically at that time.

Is my winning bid tax-deductible?

Many of the items in this auction have been generously donated to support our mission. Each listing includes a Fair Market Value (FMV), which is the estimated price the item would typically sell for in a regular retail or marketplace setting, like a used book store or a rare book auction.

If you win an item by bidding above its Fair Market Value, the amount you pay beyond the FMV may be considered a tax-deductible charitable contribution, as allowed by law. For example, if an item’s Fair Market Value is listed as $50 and the winning bid is $80, the additional $30 may be tax deductible.

Please note that Fair Market Value represents an estimated retail value, not a limit on what an item is worth to you. Your generous bids help support Wait in the Wings and make preserving theater history possible.

Are you still having a Kickstarter this year?

Yes! The Kickstarter makes Wait in the Wings possible, funding our annual slate of documentary projects without having to take corporate ads. This fundraiser supplements that by allowing us to work ahead on projects for next season, that aren't yet funded. It's kinda like time travel.

Do you ship internationally?
Due to the weight of books and varied cost of international shipping from the United States, we are only able to offer international shipping to Wait in the Wings Balcony+ patrons and past "Coup de Theatre" Kickstarter supporters. We welcome you to join us to hang out on the Wingtastic livestream regardless, to join the Patreon for virtual hangouts, or to explore the Kickstarter this coming June.
