SPECIAL NOTES FOR TONIGHT'S CONCERT

TONIGHT'S PROGRAM

In a normal year, tonight's performance would be a presentation of our upcoming MICCA Festival performance. It would also serves as a "practice run" for that festival, or what we like to call the "MCAS" of music. At this festival, each group performs in front of a panel of highly respected judges who assess our performances and provide feedback and a score aligning to a performance rubric. This is always considered one of the highlights of our year. Although we are sad that there will be no festival this year, we are looking ahead to a brighter future with live performances, music trips and celebrations. Perhaps a bit biased, but I feel that music is arguably the most difficult subject for students to engage in through the remote setting. I am incredibly proud of every student who has stuck with it through these difficult times. For those who elected to not participate in the remote setting, we hope that you will decide to join us again next year. You are always welcome in the Franklin music family!
