Thank you for being here to support the work we are doing and to help us celebrate!

The Kids Collaborative is five years old this year!

2020 marks five years of building the foundation for successful adulthood for children living in Keene Housing households.

With the right support at the right time, children are amazingly resilient and can overcome adversity. This is that time, and you can help us be the support that kids need.

The Kids Collaborative has always been a connector - we connect kids to community activities that will help them grow, learn and succeed. With your help, over the past fives years we have made it possible  for kids to participate in dance and theater classes, karate, ice skating, sports leagues, afterschool programs, instrumental and voice lessons, horseback riding, summer camps, and more. All at no cost to their families.

It is through these kinds of activities that children develop valuable skills like adaptability, self-control, attentiveness, motivation, confidence, teamwork, organizational skills, creativity, perseverance, and communication skills. All the things that will help them succeed at home, in school, and in the community.

Throughout the challenges presented by Covid-19, we have continued to be a connector for kids. We are working to ensure that every student living in a Keene Housing household has a stable, adequate internet connection and a device on which to access remote learning. And although most programs for youth are operating at reduced capacity to ensure everyone stays healthy, we continue to connect kids to opportunities and activities in the community.

Because we know that remote learning can be challenging for both parents and students, we are connecting kids with volunteer schoolwork helpers via Zoom to help them navigate the remote learning environment and stay on top of their school work.

Keeping kids connected!

We invite you to join is in the work we are doing!  With your help, we will continue to support kids living in households struggling to make ends meet as they grow and learn in the way kids learn best: through participation, connection and interaction.
