Eight years ago, my child and I laced up our shoes in October to run for a cause—Dyslexia Awareness Month. At the time, my child had just been diagnosed with dyslexia, and since we both loved running, we decided to channel that passion into something greater: running for a cause that mattered deeply to us.

Since then, I’ve gone on to found an academic nonprofit dedicated to helping students who are significantly behind academically or who learn differently, like those with dyslexia. Our mission is simple but vital: to provide the support, resources, and specialized instruction that students need to succeed.
