Our Team - Erik Scott

Next week, I will be joining a disaster relief team from our church, South Dayton Fellowship, headed to Coral Gables, FL, to serve families devastated by Hurricane Marcus.

This is my second disaster relief team trip with South Dayton Fellowship, and I am excited!

The slogan of our trip is - "You are NOT alone!"

What I Will Be Doing

Erik– Mucking out houses, praying with families, listening to their stories, sharing the love of Christ, and handing out basic supplies to those in need.

Where I Will Stay

Grace Church of Coral Gables – sleeping on cots in the gym and classrooms. The church is providing hot showers and meals for all volunteers.

How You Can Help

🙏 Pray – Please pray for the safety of our teams as they go out into the community. There is a lot of unseen danger involved in disaster cleanup.

Also, please pray that God will give us the wisdom in how to speak words of comfort to those we minister to.

✅ Give – South Dayton Fellowship is asking each team member to reach out to friends and neighbors to raise $495 each to cover our expenses while serving in Coral Gables. Any funds remaining after food and fuel are covered will go directly towards purchasing critical supplies for those affected by Hurricane Marcus.

By supporting individual team members like me, you are allowing South Dayton Fellowship to direct more of our congregational funds to those we are serving.

The $495 isn't a prerequisite for us going; it is just an opportunity for those who can't go to be involved in the mission, too!
