We're so excited to bring Max Loads out of our imagination and to the playa! Our goal is to show off our silly sense of humor and inspire curiosity and adventure in those who stumble upon us out there.

These pieces will be located in two undisclosed locations with cameras that show you the live feed of the opposite machine, each acting as a portal to connect new friends through the lost sock continuum! What will you find when you peek in? An opportunity to find a new lover? A secret dance party? A morning yoga class? Come play with our buttons and knobs to find out!

Meet the Artists:

Chris Rico is a data scientist in agriculture biotech by day (FANCY!) and on nights and weekends he's a programmer and overall tinkerer who is the brains behind all things data and electronics on this project. He hails from Sacramento, CA and has been going to Burning Man for almost a decade now!

Rene Santana is an epidemiologist in public health by day and tries his hand at creative design, social media, and promotion in his spare time. Originally from Orange County, he has since moved to Sacramento where he and Chris connected and have solidified their bond over a mutual love for pizza and Bob's Burgers.

Today, the two lovebirds have moved to San Francisco, where they are currently bringing their creation to life in their home. The two have traded in their brunches for removing washing machine motors, cutting holes in things, and shameless self-promotion.
