🌙 Six Days of Love — Harbour’s Story

When our son, Harbour Knoxx Peabody, was born still on a cold December day in 2022, the world around us went silent. The room filled with heartbreak, questions, and a pain I didn’t know a human being could survive. But in the middle of that darkness, we were given a gift—six sacred days with our baby boy.

Because Grant Medical Center had a CuddleCot, his little body could stay cool… which meant he could stay with us.

And in those six days, we poured a lifetime of love into him.

We bathed him gently, the way new parents dream of doing.

We dressed him in soft outfits we had picked out months before.

We kissed his cheeks and forehead and tiny fingers.

We combed his sweet hair.

We read him a bedtime story.

We sang him the lullaby we had been saving for his first night home.

We told him everything—how loved he was, how wanted he was, how he changed us forever.

Those six days didn’t erase the heartbreak. But they gave us memories. They gave us moments. They gave us time — time we never would have had without that one device.

And that is why The Harbour Knoxx Peabody Foundation exists.

No family should ever be handed their baby and told they only have minutes.

No parent should ever leave the hospital empty-handed and unsupported.

No mother should ever walk out into the world feeling as alone as I did when the “I’m so sorry for your loss” messages faded and the next morning felt unbearably quiet.

We create bereavement boxes.

We partner with local hospitals.

We show up for grieving families when the world goes silent.

We give other parents something we nearly lost — time, support, and a reminder that their baby’s life matters.

This December, Harbour will celebrate his 3rd Heavenly Birthday.

In his memory, we’re raising funds to continue this work, expand our reach, and provide comfort to families experiencing the unthinkable.
