Official Rules
This raffle is sponsored and conducted by Habitat for Humanity of McLean County, Inc. (“HFHMC”), an Illinois not-for-profit corporation with offices located at 103 W. Jefferson St., Bloomington, IL 61701.

Your purchase of one or more raffle ticket(s) signifies your full and unconditional agreement to the following Official Rules and that your name and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news outlets, social media outlets and may otherwise be used by HFHMC, for publicity purposes and naming of the prize winner to be published in media outlets including but not limited to television, radio, web, social media and print. The prize winner will be published on the HFHMC website and social media outlets. If a winner does not wish to claim the prize, the winner shall provide HFHMC a written statement within the thirty (30) day period stating that the winner does not wish to take ownership of the said prize items.

In the event of any dispute, a reasonable interpretation or determination by Habitat for Humanity of McLean County regarding the application of these Official Rules is final and binding in all matters related to the Raffle. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW AND OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES

Eligibility: To be eligible to purchase a ticket and win any prize, you must be at least 21 years old and a legal resident of the 50 United States or District of Columbia. All entries must be made in the name of the individual and no transfer of ownership of a ticket is permitted. No entries will be accepted from or on behalf of, corporations, trusts, partnerships, or other entities. The following persons, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to purchase a ticket: employees of Habitat for Humanity of McLean County. A ticket purchased by an ineligible person is void, and cannot be a winning ticket. No refunds will be made to ineligible purchasers, except in HFHMC’s sole and absolute discretion. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all eligibility requirements set forth herein through the drawing. HFHMC reserves the right to verify the eligibility of winners.
Tickets: Tickets may be purchased for $20.00 each. Although the system limits you to 10 tickets per transaction, you may buy as many tickets as you wish, and each raffle ticket will be entered separately in the drawing. A ticket represents a chance to win the opportunity to accept an offer of the stated prize. All sales of tickets are final, and no refunds will be paid, except in HFHMC’s sole and absolute discretion. Tickets, prizes, receipts, and any winner’s rights are not transferable. HFHMC reserves the right to reject any ticket reservation request that is submitted with payment that does not constitute “good funds.” A ticket issued in exchange for a check returned for “insufficient funds,” or for a credit card charge that was declined, invalid, stolen, or unauthorized is void and cannot be a winning ticket. All ticket reservations must be received and/or purchased by the indicated deadline. Any orders received after these deadlines will be ineligible.

HFHMC is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, misdirected, misprinted, non-delivered, late, lost, damaged, stolen, or postage-due submissions or prize notifications; for lost, interrupted, inaccessible, malfunctioning or unavailable networks, servers, satellites, Internet Service Providers, websites, or other connections; for miscommunications, failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions; for any damage to an entrant's computer system which is occasioned by accessing the HFHMC website; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information or the failure to capture any information; or other errors of any kind, whether human or technical in nature. HFHMC reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the raffle, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in a disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the fair operation of the raffle, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, and HFHMC reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Prize Packages: HFHMC does not/cannot provide tax, legal or accounting advice. This section has been prepared for rules and regulations informational purposes only, and is not intended to provide, and should not be relied on for tax, legal or accounting advice. No substitute for prizes as listed. All prizes will be transferred to the winners "AS IS, WHERE IS, AND WITH ALL FAULTS." HFHMC DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE PRIZES AND ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OR CONDITION OF THE PRIZES. NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE GIVEN AND NO AFFIRMATION OF HFHMC BY WORDS AND/OR ACTIONS WILL CONSTITUTE A WARRANTY
Prize Drawings: The raffle start time is 5/23/2025 @ 9:00 AM (CT), and the raffle end time for the prize drawing is 6/12/2025 @ 4:00 PM (CT). Any requests and payments received after the deadline will be returned to the sender. The winning ticket for each prize will be selected by a random drawing at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 13th at Fiala Brothers (127 E Beaufort St, Normal, IL 61761). All drawings are open to the public. The date of the raffle drawing is subject to all laws, regulations and Acts of God that would render the drawing illegal, unreasonable or impractical. This date and all other dates stated in these rules may be extended at the absolute discretion of HFHMC. HFHMC will select the name of potential winners of the prizes in a random drawing from all eligible raffle tickets. All tickets have an equal chance to win. Ticket purchasers need not be present to win.
Refunds: All raffle ticket sales are final. No refunds will be made with the exception of any ticket request with verified payment received after the deadlines set forth. No other refunds are available. HFHMC assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, non-delivered mail or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadlines. A raffle participant’s sole and exclusive remedy for HFHMC breach shall be limited to the return of the purchase price paid for his or her raffle ticket(s) at the sole discretion of HFHMC.
Winners: The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of valid raffle tickets sold. The chances of winning are based on the number of tickets sold. If fewer tickets are sold, the chances of winning improve. Each prize will be awarded to only one (1) winner. Winner notification will be made by telephone/email, posted on the HFHMC web page as well as HFHMC social media. The winner will need to provide proper identification (one that matches the name and address from the ticket purchase) to the satisfaction of HFHMC. A representative of HFHMC will assist in coordinating all the details with the winner regarding prize package pickup. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for HFHMC to use the winner’s name, picture, video image, and relevant quotes to promote the raffle and HFHMC. The winner of each prize shall have no rights in or to the prize itself until the winner has been verified as eligible by HFHMC and until delivery of the prize to the winner has been completed. Until that time, as between HFHMC and the winner, each prize remains the sole property of HFHMC. ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY HFHMC, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE RAFFLE. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL THE ENTRANT’S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND THE ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE. HFHMC will make reasonable efforts to contact the person named on a winning ticket, using only the information on the winning ticket/purchase form. If despite those efforts the person named on a winning ticket cannot be located within 30 calendar days after the drawing, or if any such person is ineligible under these rules or applicable law, then that person will not be awarded the prize, no other ticket will be substituted for that ticket, and the prize will be retained by HFHMC. Any prize that is not claimed within 90 calendar days after the drawing for that prize will not be awarded.
General Terms and Conditions: Any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and all fees and expenses related to acceptance and use of prize not specifically stated herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash. The value of each prize is includible in the winner’s gross income and may be subject to reporting by HFHMC to the Internal Revenue Service. Each winner is solely responsible for payment of all federal, state, and/or local income, sales, or use taxes due on account of his or her acceptance of the prize. With respect to any prize with a value of more than $5,000, the Internal Revenue Service requires HFHMC to withhold federal income tax at the rate of 24%, or current rate as established by the IRS, and the winner must pay the amount of tax to be withheld to HFHMC as a condition of transfer of ownership of the prize. The winner of the vehicle in the raffle is responsible for payment of income, sales, use or other applicable taxes and fees prior. For any prizes valued at $600 or more, HFHMC will provide the winner with an IRS Form W2-G reporting the value of the prize as income to the winner. HFHMC takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities. Winners should consult a tax professional.

By participating in this raffle, each participant releases Habitat for Humanity of McLean County, Inc. and each of its respective directors, officers, board members, employees and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, but not limited to, liability for possession, use or misuse of any prize, and each winner agrees to indemnify and hold HFHMC and each of its respective directors, officers, board members, employees and agents harmless from any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the winner’s acceptance or use of any prize.

Each winner hereby releases and holds HFHMC harmless with respect to any claims related to the raffle. A raffle entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of duty or conduct related to the raffle shall be limited to the return of the purchase price paid for his or her raffle tickets. In no event shall HFHMC be liable to any person for any loss or injuries to earnings, profits or goodwill, or for any incidental, special, punitive or, consequential, or other damages of any person or entity whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise, arising out of the raffle, use or ownership of the prizes.

If, for any reason, the raffle is subjected to infection by computer virus or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or suspected fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which call into question the fairness or legality of this raffle, HFHMC may, in its sole discretion, void any suspect entries and (a) cancel or terminate the raffle (or any portion thereof); (b) modify the raffle or suspend the raffle and then resume the raffle in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/or (c) award the prize from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of impairment, and all eligible entries received.

HFHMC reserves the right to modify or extend prize drawing deadlines, and/or add additional prizes or drawings at any time, in its sole discretion. All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of McLean County.
