April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. A report of child abuse is made every ten seconds in the United States.
Denver Children's Advocacy Center responds to victims of child abuse and neglect and provides treatment for children and families, while also preventing child abuse to the greatest extent possible. We provide services for over 1,100 children every year. In 2022, we provided 981 forensic interviews; served 619 children through assessment, crisis management, and mental health treatment; taught our prevention curriculum to 5,000 students.
