Renee Goff's Story

Hello my name is Renee and I'm reaching out to family and friends for you to join the fundraiser or to donate. I live with a rare disease (VCP) with no treatment or cure so I do fundraisers for research. My story with rare disease started in my 20's when my family was tested for VCP and I tested positive but the gene mutation didn't show its ugly head until 2017. Since then I've lost my independence because I need help to leave the house. I use a walker 100% of the time now. There are so many things I've had to modify just to continue doing them, just to list a few taking a shower, getting dressed, doing dishes and laundry are all things you all take for granted but I have to use medical aids or people to help. I focus on things I can still do even if it is with help so this fundraiser has a great title the I can MOVEment! Please consider donating to VCP DISEASE and help our team get of the bench 😆
