2021 has been a difficult year as we continue to battle through the global pandemic and to sound calls-to-action for racial equality and justice.
Now more than ever, there are families and children in need. Aslan Youth Ministries has a 46-year history of service to African American children and has helped over 4,000 children achieve their goals and dreams by bringing together diverse leadership, staff, community members and volunteers.
Our family has been involved with Aslan Youth Ministries for over a decade now by sponsoring local families during the holiday season and tutoring/mentoring young children.
Once again we will be participating in the Aslan Youth's annual fundraiser - BEAUTY AND THE BEACH RUN. Thanks to our family and friends, we were able to raise over $15,000 for this wonderful cause. It is our goal to exceed that number this year.
Because COVID continues to make "normal" activities challenging, for the second year in a row, we will be participating in a virtual fundraiser to keep Aslan's wonderful programs going.
The BEAUTY AND THE BEACH OFF-SHORE WALK/RUN enables groups of family and friends to walk or run 5K or 5 miles anytime, anywhere from now until September 18, 2021.
