Where you are from, and when did you move to Charlotte?

I moved to Charlotte from NYC in 2013 and I’m here for good! Even though I didn’t grow up here, several of my close family members have moved down and my husband and I have decided to plant roots and raise our baby girl here so this is where HOME is to me now.

Favorite thing about Charlotte?

I grew up in WV and moved from there to NYC. Charlotte feels like the perfect in-between of my country roots and city lifestyle. The people here are the best. I love the weather, the fact that we’re close to mountains and beaches, our city’s appreciation of the outdoors and arts, and the foodie scene never disappoints!

What motivates you to give back?

Giving back and getting involved in my community has always been incredibly important to me. I have been beyond blessed in my life and strive to use my gifts to make a positive impact on those around me. A core value of mine is Community and an organization that sets out to empower our youth and strengthen our communities so that we can all have equal opportunities is one that I can get behind whole-heartedly!
