Dear Family and Friends,
A few weeks ago I learned that a friend from my neighborhood in Teaneck, who has a wife and young kids, was diagnosed with a serious form of cancer.
It's a disease that has affected all of us. At the same time, patients receive better and better care, due to the funding of research and support services.
On September 1 I am playing in a basketball tournament that's organized in honor of another friend, who passed away from cancer in her 20's.
This year participants are raising money for a few worthy organizations: the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Ullman Foundation, and the Jewish Caring Network.
You can learn more about the tournament and its efforts below.
This is my first year playing and I intend to make an impact. As a 40-year-old with chronic back pain, that impact must be in fundraising. If I hit one shot all day, I will be pleased. If I reach my $1,000 fundraising goal, I'll be more pleased.
Thanks for making a contribution!
