🌈 Why We’re Running the Rainbow Run 2025 🏃‍♂️🏳️‍🌈

Hey everyone! We’re Erik and Chad, and we’re thrilled to be "running" in this year’s Rainbow Run to support Callen-Lorde—an organization that’s already become a big part of our lives.

This year has been full of exciting changes for us. Erik just started a new role at Callen-Lorde, and we both just moved to NYC, a city we’re already falling in love with. The energy, the people, and especially the LGBTQ+ community here have made us feel right at home.

We’re running not just because we love a good race (and a good excuse to wear rainbow gear!), but because Callen-Lorde’s work matters. They provide lifesaving, affirming healthcare to LGBTQ+ folks, no matter their ability to pay. From HIV care and prevention to gender-affirming services and mental health support, they’re making a difference every day.

If you are not in the NYC area or prefer to participate virtually, you can choose any day between May 3 and May 11 to complete your run or walk in the convenience of your own neighborhood.

Taking place both in-person and virtually, Callen-Lorde’s Rainbow Run is a 5K or 10K fun run/leisure walk promoting health and wellness while supporting the lifesaving work of Callen-Lorde Community Health Center! This year, the Rainbow Run will take place in person on Saturday, May 3 in Hudson River Park at 10am (gathering at 9am) or virtually, wherever you are, anytime between May 3 and May 11. PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in participating virtually, we ask that you sign up by April 25 to allow us time to mail you your bib and other incentives!
