Nick's cause:

In 2022, I am excited to announce I will be joining the Auxiliary Board for the Big Shoulders Fund and joining their race team for the 2022 Chicago Marathon. In choosing a cause to support, I wanted to align with an organization that shares in the same values I care about: equitable education for all and providing mentorship & professional development to Chicago's youth. 

Big Shoulders Fund is dedicated to supporting quality, values-based education for children across the Chicago region. Each year, the Big Shoulders Fund Auxiliary Board Scholarship provides scholarships to students across seven partner schools, where 78% of students are low-income. 

As a whole, big Shoulders impacts 70+ schools and 20,000+ students every school year. 96% of students graduate high school, and 85% of graduating scholars enroll in college. Alumni graduate from college at 2x the national rate. 

Additionally, we aim to support our schools through the following programs:

- Give Back Days focusing on school improvements to provide better a better learning environment

-Tutoring and Test Prep Programs

-Mentoring and Leadership Development

-Stock Market Programs to help educate students in financial literacy and related topics
