Welcome to the BOND(H)US TOGETHER Team’s fundraising page for Emotions Matter’s Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Walk 2025!
As both someone with BPD and as a board member of the organization, I am passionate about the work Emotions Matter does to support people living with BPD and all those around them.
Every day, people worldwide and throughout the United States are diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), a deeply misunderstood mental health condition that affects emotional regulation, relationships, and self-image. Too often, those living with BPD are met with judgment, fear, or silence—when what they truly need is patience, empathy, and support. With the right resources, healing is not only possible—it’s life-changing.
WHAT IS BPD?
Living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can mean facing overwhelming symptoms: emotional dysregulation, fear of abandonment, unstable relationships, chronic feelings of emptiness, impulsive and self-harming behaviors. For individuals living with BPD, emotions aren’t just strong—they’re overwhelming, consuming, and often unbearable. What might be a passing frustration or fleeting sadness for the average person, it can feel like emotional devastation for someone with BPD. Fear of abandonment isn’t just a worry—it can feel like life is crumbling. Moments of emptiness aren’t simply feeling bored or lonely—they can feel like a loss of self and identity. These experiences run far deeper than what most people can imagine, and they deserve compassion, understanding, and real, genuine support.
However, finding help can be extremely difficult; too often, people with BPD are met with unnecessary hurdles: a lack of providers, a lack of understanding, and a lack of stigma-free resources.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
That’s where Emotions Matter steps in—turning isolation into connection and despair into hope.
When individuals with BPD feel lost, Emotions Matter reaches out with a lifeline. Through free BPD Peer Support Groups, empowering educational tools, and inclusive programs and events, they’re breaking down stigma and building up a community of understanding. Here, people are seen, supported, and encouraged to move forward—one step at a time—on their path to healing.
Recovery is possible. Connection is powerful. And no one has to face BPD alone.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
This fundraiser helps open doors to understanding and care by enabling Emotions Matter’s 2026 work of funding BPD education, therapy access, peer support, and awareness efforts. Every dollar raised, no matter how big or small, brings us closer to a world where people with BPD are met with compassion—not judgment.
Thank you so much for your support by reading this and hopefully participating however you can. You are very appreciated!
