Where are you from and why did you move to Charlotte?

I moved from Arizona 3 years ago. I spent my whole life, outside of military deployments and trainings, in the West. Utah, Colorado, Arizona, California, and Washington. 12 moves in 12 years. 

2. What’s your favorite thing about Charlotte?

I love Charlotte because it is young and in transition. It’s a city and a culture of people who want to improve and be better. I want to be a part of that!

3. What motivates you to give back?

I was blessed to grow up in a home with loving parents. I always had food on the table and a hug and a kiss goodnight. Those same people instilled the value of service into me as well. I have seen poverty in other countries first hand and for a long time I refused to see it or believe that it was happening in my backyard as well. I am motivated to give opportunities to kids. To coach, to serve, to assist and to raise the next generation to care for each other.
