I recently returned to work at the Tool Library, where I co-founded our educational programming and public workshop over 10 years ago. It's been a unique experience to have given everything I had to this project, then to leave the day-to-day operations, and now to return with a renewed perspective. Even more clearly, I see how the Tool Library transcends resource sharing to create community and connection. It provides a home for those of us who want to build, make, work, and share what we have with each other.
Hands-on learning is not easy or cheap, but it's made all the difference to me and my personal development. Whether I'm replacing broken parts, milling lumber, or strategizing a new development opportunity, I know my work is making a place for all of us to learn, lead, and grow together.
I can't say enough about the positive impact the Tool Library has had on our community. I can't say enough about the potential I see in the coming year. I am incredibly fortunate to be here, reunited with the work that inspires me. If you're interested in being a part of this too, consider donating to our end-of-year campaign. Looking forward to many more years of building communal wealth together!
