Don Halligan's Story

As you may know, the Station North Tool Library has become a resource for many across Baltimore who understand and value the power of creativity and doing things yourself. The Tool Library has given me the support and opportunity to take advantage of its resources, take and teach some great classes, and participate in events that help people learn, fix, create and build community. Please consider making a donation during this season, anything large or small is helpful. Thanks very much for your help and consideration! Some interesting facts: - Last year we loaned more than 16,000 tools to more than 1,000 people - Welcomed more than 300 new members and more than 700 new learners - Provided education to more than 2,000 people - We now have over 70 volunteers who contribute more than 3,250 hours per year! - We trained a record 22 new volunteers this year! - We provided education to 1,294 people (over 7,000 hours total) - Trained 11 new teachers, majority women and nonbinary - Members used the open shop for more than 1,743 hours of work on their own projects Don

This community is amazing-- $1,125 OVER our original goal! If you're reading this and haven't donated yet, it's not too late!

Additional funds will go directly to paying staff for our free programming for women/nonbinary/trans people and people of color. Our budget is balanced, but there's no limit to what else we can do. ❤️
