ONEgeneration is a 46-year-old non-profit organization whose mission is to support & enrich the lives of older adults, children, & their families throughout our diverse communities. We provide services that enable older adults to age with family, in community or independently. We promote physical health and mental well-being, provide socialization, nutrition and access to food and resources. This is all towards the goal of keeping older adults from tipping points of decline and avoiding or delaying preventable hospitalizations and premature loss of independence. Donating to this campaign this will help support ONEgeneration’s core programming which includes: • Senior Centers: Reseda Nationally Accredited Senior Enrichment and Northridge Wilkinson Senior Centers • Adult Daycare: Supports seniors with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other health challenges. • Childcare/Preschool: Provides NAEYC accredited childcare. • Intergenerational Programing: Shared activities for our preschoolers and seniors. • Grandparents As Parents: Supporting grandparents raising relative children. • Nutrition: Meals to homebound seniors and congregate meal sites for older adults. • Transportation: Rides for seniors to medical and other important appointments. • Care Management: Social Workers assist seniors with numerous services. • Food Pantry: Distributes 200,000 lbs. of food monthly for individuals facing food insecurity.
