Evelyn Swift's Story

Our daughter, Evelyn Swift, was diagnosed with a super rare genetic disorder in April 2020. The syndrome is so rare it doesn’t have a formal name and is referred to as CTNNB1 Syndrome. There are over 430 known diagnosed CTNNB1 cases in the world and it's estimated that 243,000 people are affected by CTNNB1 Syndrome worldwide. Evelyn is the friendliest and happiest child you will ever meet. She has a smile that will melt your heart and her laugh is unforgettable. She enjoys dancing to music, loves getting books read to her, and she absolutely adores playing with her older sister Grace. Despite all of this, she struggles with the things other children her age are able to enjoy due to her genetic syndrome. Evelyn is non-verbal, has global developmental delays, physical and intellectual disabilities, eye problems, sensory processing disorder and a few other challenges. Finding a cure would be life changing for Evelyn and all the other children affected by this syndrome and provide them with the best quality of life.
