Dee Pelletier's Story
Dance Project of Washington Heights is a neighborhood GEM, and so are all the dancers who dance there and all the adults who teach, administer and give tirelessly of their time, talents and love. (Okay, the adults get tired.)
Amanda Castro, one of Dance Project's incredibly gifted dance teachers, says it best:
"Dance Project makes dance accessible for everyBODY. No matter your means. You can pay full price. You can give-what-you-can. There's love in the walls at Dance Project."
There are NOT a lot of dance studios where caregivers do not have to worry about the cost of the classes and where they can send their children and youth to learn from professional dancers who are dedicated to sharing their love of dance with the next generation.
