Hello friends and family!
This summer I get to attend Summer Internship with GOD Int’l. For those unfamiliar with Summer Internship, it’s a professionally guided mission trip allowing students and young people to experience serving and developing people and communities around the world. After this summer I will be attending The Institute for GOD studying Biblical Studies and Community Development.
I am going on this trip for many reasons, I want to develop my ability to effectively serve, I want to grow in my relationships with friends, classmates, and leaders, and ultimately further my knowledge of God and his Word. Over the years I’ve heard many stories and testimonies from people who went on this trip, and every single one of them testified to how the trip was life-changing. In all of those testimonies, I’ve learned that if I fully submit myself and my agenda to the Lord he will teach me and help me grow. I don’t want to go on this trip with any selfish ambition or have any disconnect with the mission I’m on. I want to give my all and be open to learning, correction, and growth.
I am very thankful for the role you’ve played in my life and would appreciate your support for me on this trip in two ways. First, and most important, prayer. It would mean a lot to know that all of you have me in your thoughts and prayers. James 5:16 says “The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective,” and I would love for your prayers to take effect in my life, in the life of everyone on this trip, and the life of the people I am going to serve. Second, being able to financially contribute to my trip. The finances I receive are not only going toward the cost of my trip but also toward advancing the work we are doing this summer. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will significantly help in my fundraising process, so thank you so much for your consideration! My goal is to raise $8000 for this trip. I’ve been working hard with amazing companies and businesses trying to help ease the cost of this trip, but I still need the help of you all!
