Julian Carrion's Summer Internship
Get to know me!
Wassup guys! My name is Julian Carrion and I am a sophomore at the Institute for GOD (20 years old🕺🏽) Originally I am from Philadelphia, PA and in 2023, moved to Nashville, TN for Bible College. I come from a Puerto Rican 🇵🇷household, which has allowed me to grow up with THE BEST FOOD and LANGUAGE of all time. The last two years, I have had the wonderful opportunity of interning at: The Academy for God through my Professional Development scholarship at the Institute for GOD. Which has allowed me to gain valuable experience in classroom management, behavior management and other technical skills that can be very beneficial on the mission field.
I am double majoring in Bachelors in Biblical Studies and Community Development. These last two years, I have grown a love for God's education through his word.
What inspired me to go on this trip?
Last year, I had the honor and privilege of going on Summer Internship to Uganda! On this trip, I realized the true power of the words of Jesus in the gospels. He was speaking to those who were in bondage, stuck in the world's oppressive power shown to the poor and vulnerable. The people I met and served alongside with helped me realize the responsibility I have to learn God's word, to see his light and illuminating word help bring God's kingdom to earth.
One verse that has helped me in this process of choosing to go on mission for God:
- "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
Fun fact about me: I have a twin brother!
How can people be praying for you? What are my hopes?
Please pray the Lord is with me and the team every single day as we come before him. That this trip can be beneficial in the development of my faith in understanding how to serve the Lord in this context. Also, the people I serve alongside with can be impacted and charged to see the goodness of God that this world doesn't acknowledge. Pray on the trip that we can always go to the Lord for his agenda over the agenda we may have.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for my trip. May God bless you.
