We are raising money for Love Some1 with Glut1 on behalf of our son Dara who was diagnosed with Glut1 Deficiency syndrome in November 2020 when he was 17 months old. Since then he has been on a combination of the Ketogenic diet and medication to combat his symptoms. Dara will be turning six in April 2025.
The funds raised go to the Glut1 Deficiency Foundation who fund important research into new treatments for this rare condition and also provide important supports for families with a diagnosis.
This year Dara has started school which is a fantastic milestone for him. He is also more steady on his feet and doesn't need to wear a helmet when doing activities anymore. His speech is still developing but we hear new words and phrases all the time.
