Why Decriminalize Entheogenic Plants?
Our resolution seeks to defund and de-prioritize the criminal prosecution of "crimes" related to the cultivation, personal use, and sharing of entheogenic plants and fungi containing Psilocybin/ Psilocin, DMT, Mescaline and Iboga.
- We believe that these naturally occurring psychedelics hold the power to help us reconnect with the earth, heal ourselves and expand our consciousness at a time when we need it most.
- We affirm that equitable access to these gifts from nature should be a HUMAN RIGHT available to all people regardless of income, identity or access to healthcare.
- We feel strongly that Decriminalizing Nature is imperative to addressing the growing mental health epidemic, tragic social issues, and pressing environmental crisis our planet is currently facing.
- We advocate for the right to Grow, Gather, and Gift these sacred medicines in a way that empowers our local communities instead of big corporations and pharmaceutical companies.
- We believe the liberation of these medicines are crucial to the liberation of all humanity. It’s time to end the war on entheogenic plants and fungi.
