Our annual tradition of raising money to find cures for cancer was ignited during our team co-founder Roxy Block's fight. Since 2015, we have raised money for National Foundation for Cancer Research's Play4TheCure program, which dedicates 100% raised to research in the labs. We honor Roxy's memory and continue to go to battle against cancers for all of our loved ones who have lost their lives, who are currently fighting cancer and for those who have survived and are now thriving.
This summer, our team held its second Run-A-Thon for Play4TheCure. Together, our athletes raised $5,042 thanks to the amazing support of family and friends. This effort resulted in CFH -- and its field hockey community -- raising more than $30,000 for cancer research since 2015. We could not have achieved this milestone without you.
Help us raise even more money during our annual Play4TheCure games:
October 4: Beach Middle School vs Saline at the BMS field
October 9: Chelsea Field Hockey vs Huron Field Hockey @ 2:00 JV & 3:30 Varsity at Jerry Niehaus Stadium
We encourage all fans to "Pink Out" and wear vibrant pink. We can help you. For the first time, CFH is selling Play4TheCure t-shirts for $15. Get your t-shirt in advance of the game (via any CFH high school athlete) or at the gate.
Important note: All gate fees ($5) will be donated to the National Foundation for Cancer Research. The gates fees must still be purchased via the cashless GoFan App. The money will be collected and sent to NFCR. On game days at the gate, CFH is still collecting checks to the NFCR and any additional cash donations.
Thank you all for your support!
