Hi everyone! Thank you for checking out my page, but more importantly, being a part of our Wisconsin PGA Centennial Celebration. Being a part of this campaign is a no-brainer for me.
I am so lucky that golf has been an integral part of my life since I was very young. I grew up playing on the WPGA Junior Tour starting at the age of 12, played competitively all through high school and eventually earned a college scholarship to play at Valparaiso University in Indiana. Golf introduced me to the best people in my life, including my husband, Geoff.
My role at the Wisconsin PGA as the Director of Player Development puts me in a position to show others how golf can help them grow on and off the course. Our Foundation awards scholarships, offers both recreational and competitive experiences for players of all ages and abilities, and aims to diversify the golf industry. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the BEST Section in the country - I will be playing 100 holes at Naga-Waukee War Memorial Golf Course. I'm ready for a long day!! "The Nag" is where I learned how to play golf at a young age and my grandparents live right off of the 9th green. It's the course that I play in my head when I can't sleep, and they have the best hot dogs in all of Wisconsin!!!
But here's the cool part - there's a charitable component. My fellow PGA members and I get to pick a charity of choice - half of the funds I raise will benefit our Foundation, while half will benefit Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation (Oconomowoc). I need your help no matter the size of the contribution. Both of these organizations have made their personal imprint on me over the years and I want to share that with others. It's pretty remarkable that we can use golf to accomplish such great things!
