It was a matter of time, but I knew one day, I'd get a call.
January 2, 2022: The Alameda County Coroner called my sister, Sabrina,
asking her to confirm the identity of a John Doe. They were looking for the family of a crumpled body found in a doorway. It was our younger brother, Serge. Serge was mentally ill, drug addicted and homeless. He was one of the people we "normies" choose not to see.
Street Dog Coalition sees these people and chooses to love them by providing life-giving care to the humans and their pets. I don't know if my brother, Serge, had a pet; but he loved animals.
I was not able to save my brother, Serge's life. However, I decided that his death would not be in vain. I am now a member of Street Dog Coalition.
My ask: Would you give up 4 Starbuck's drinks and pitch in $25 to support Street Dog's Mission? This would make a huge difference in the lives of so many.
