As we wrap up 2023 we are going into our 3rd annual DTFL Giving Tuesday Campaign to Help Heal a Healer. I am proud to be serving for the 3rd time as a fundraiser.
Debriefing the Front Lines seeks to support the modern nurse, such as myself, by generating a conversation around the trauma and mental health crisis within the healthcare system.
Founded on the belief “Alone is No Longer Enough”, the aim of Debriefing the Front Lines is to generate a powerful space to strengthen those who give themselves for the sake of others. As a CommUNITY, the collective trauma only heightened by the pandemic has been recognized and harnessed into something positive and productive.
DTFL has grown from a daily communication initiatives and debriefing within a small scale to a nationwide campaign healing through 1:1 sessions, sobriety services, coaching, speaking and consulting, debriefing workshops.
As a healthcare professional I am met every day with the need for a psychological safe space outside of my workplace. Debriefing the Front Lines created this space. As nurses our trauma is not over.
We cannot shy away from conversations regarding mental health and wellness. As much as we try to use our learned skills and inherent emotional strength to aid and heal ourselves it is often not enough without the help of an organization like DTFL.
I ask my CommUNITY now to stand with me in helping my peers and this wonderful organization once again.
$50 raised provides one scholarship based debriefing session to a nurse/ HCP in need.
The more donations the more nurses aided to feel less alone. Enough is enough, Alone is No Longer Enough.
