Hello, my name is Hayden Harvey. I am serving as the E-Commerce/Merchandise Coordinator for Bike4Alz Team 13. I am currently a sophomore at WKU studying Finance. Along with being an active member and Historian of Phi Gamma Delta - Chi Eta, I serve on campus within the Gordon Ford College of Business as well as other organizations. In my free time, I love to cook, read, and discover new music.
I first found out about Bike4Alz after joining FIJI here at WKU. I was amazed by the selfless dedication and commitment to a cause. I am honored to get the opportunity to dedicate myself to this organization and make a difference in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s. This summer I will be riding for my grandmother, Jean Harvey. Jean, like the rest of her family, had a large personality. She was a respected elder of the family, and always proud of her three sons. I had the privilege to grow up with Jean in the house for several years. It was during these years that I witnessed the effects of Alzheimer's firsthand. I remember the days where she did not remember who my siblings and I were, the days where she would forget about her husband, and the days where she would forget about her son. I am riding this summer in hopes that our efforts will one day lead to a cure, because we all deserve to remember our family.
