Hello! My name is Layne True, and I’m from Paducah, KY. I’m honored to serve as one of the Lodging Coordinators for Bike4Alz Team 13. Currently, I’m pursuing a Finance major with a concentration in Financial Planning at Western Kentucky University and am a proud member of Phi Gamma Delta. I first learned about Bike4Alz just before joining the fraternity, and ever since then I knew I wanted to be involved with something that is much bigger than myself. The opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause alongside my fraternity brothers while riding across the entire country over the summer was something I could never pass up.
I’ve seen firsthand the heavy toll Alzheimer's and dementia takes on families, including my own, as well as those of close friends. Seeing how this disease can reshape lives and relationships has given me a sense of purpose in supporting the fight against it. This has fueled my commitment to making a difference, and I believe that every ride this summer will help families impacted by this devastating illness. Raising awareness, honoring those affected, and fundraising for research has truly become a passion of mine while learning about the mission of Bike4Alz. I believe Team 13 will truly make an impact and I’m so excited to get started and contribute to putting an end to Alzheimer’s for good!
