This feature is most commonly used in conjunction with virtual events, since it is a great way to recreate a similar level of privacy as purchasing a ticket to a physical event. Private events on Givebutter have the unique ability to hide the location on the public event page, and only display location details after a ticket is purchased (i.e. you will receive a link to the live stream only after you purchase a ticket).

Launching an event as a nonprofit can be hard and stressful, but using Givebutter made it exponentially easier. We were able to seamlessly register teams while also collecting donations for our recent 3v3 basketball tournament to end teen suicide. I’d recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a fun experience, excellent support, and low fees.
