Katherine has helped raise more than $100 million over her 25+ year career. She has been involved with every aspect of nonprofit management and fundraising and has developed particular expertise in fundraising planning, event production, strategic planning, board development, staff coaching, government relations, and public
competitive grant sources. She has led clients through board development, multi-year capital campaigns and annual campaigns, strategic planning processes and has deep experience in developing public/private partnerships.
Before founding Growth for Good, Katherine worked as development director for The Armory Foundation, MOUSE Inc., The Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service (NYU), and The Bertelsmann Foundation. She began her career in the Mayor's Office for Business Development under Mayor Koch and helped found the Mayor's Office for Public-Private Partnerships under Mayor Dinkins. She directed Constituency Affairs for Borough President Ruth Messinger.
Katherine serves on the board of The Wu Project. She was a board member for 13 years for Harlem RBI (now DREAM). Katherine has a B.A. in Economics from San Francisco State University and a Master of Public Administration from New York University with honors. The author of four cookbooks, Katherine lives in Maplewood, NJ, with her husband and two college students (when they are around between their various adventures.)
