In your dashboard, set up your Givebutter Wallet and make it your primary payout method. All settled donations land here automatically daily, earning 2.5% APY rewards while you fundraise!
Transfer Giving Tuesday funds into Wallet by December 14!
Any eligible donations processed on Giving Tuesday (December 2) will receive a 1% match as long as they are transferred into your Wallet by December 14 at 11:59 PM ET. Match deposits begin December 15.
Match terms & details
- Givebutter will only match donations processed online through Givebutter and stored in Givebutter Wallet.
- External funds (from outside of Givebutter) manually transferred into Wallet will not be matched. This includes offline gifts, cash donations, and check donations entered manually into your campaign.
- Only funds processed online on Givebutter (and stored in Wallet thereafter) from December 2 at 12:00 AM ET through December 3 at 5:59 AM ET will be matched.
- Funds raised on Givebutter on Giving Tuesday must be stored in your Givebutter Wallet by December 14 at 11:59 PM ET to qualify for the match.
- Matches will be directly deposited into the participating accounts’ Wallets starting December 15.
- Wallet must remain your primary payout method until match funds have been received to ensure eligibility.
- All accounts with a Givebutter Wallet are automatically opted into the promotion.

Who is eligible to receive the 1% Giving Tuesday match?
Any organization that raises funds via their Givebutter donation form, event, or fundraising page on Giving Tuesday (December 2, 2025), and settles those funds in their Givebutter Wallet, is eligible to receive a 1% match from Givebutter. Make sure your Wallet is set as your default payout method before Giving Tuesday so all funds automatically transfer and count toward the match.
Do I need to do anything to receive the 1% matching donation from Givebutter?
If you’re new to Givebutter:
1. Sign up for your free Givebutter account
2. Create your donation form, fundraising page, or event
3. Set Wallet as your primary payout method
If you’re an existing Givebutter user: Set Wallet as your primary payout method. That’s it!
If you’re already using Wallet as your primary payout method: You’re automatically enrolled—no extra steps required. Just start raising funds (and having fun!) on Giving Tuesday.
When will matching donations be distributed?
Givebutter will deposit 1% matches directly into eligible Wallet accounts starting December 15, 2025. Wallet must remain your primary payout method until your match funds are received.
How do I transfer funds into my Givebutter Wallet?
Once Wallet is set as your primary payout method, funds transfer automatically each day. All settled donations land in your Wallet, earning 2.5% APY rewards while you fundraise!
Will you match my Giving Tuesday funds even if I transfer them to Wallet after Giving Tuesday?
Yes—if your donations were processed on Givebutter during the match window and transferred into Wallet by December 14 at 11:59 PM ET, they’ll still qualify. Make sure your Wallet remains your primary payout method until match funds are received.
Do offline donations count toward the 1% match?
No—only online donations processed through Givebutter during the Giving Tuesday match window are eligible for the 1% match. Offline gifts, cash donations, and checks entered manually into your campaign will not be matched.
What if my campaign spans multiple days?
Only donations processed during the match window (December 2 at 12:00 AM ET through December 3 at 5:59 AM ET) will be matched. You can still keep your campaign open before or after that window—those donations just won’t qualify for the 1% match.
Does the 1% match apply to all campaign types?
Yes! Whether you’re running a donation form, event, auction, or peer-to-peer campaign, all eligible donations processed on Givebutter during the Giving Tuesday match window will be matched
