Here at Givebutter, it was important to us to lead by example this Giving Tuesday by giving back in big ways to the changemakers who are using our platform to make the world a better place. We did this by churning out an ultimate Giving Tuesday playbook, hosting a three-part webinar series, and donating $50,000 to nonprofits!

Changemakers drove generosity

As the #1-rated free online fundraising platform, we were honored to have thousands of changemakers choose to host their Giving Tuesday campaigns on Givebutter!  

All of this buttery goodness would not have been possible without you, the Givebutter community, and the thousands of supporters you mobilized on the world’s biggest day of generosity. 👏

We’d also like to give a big shout-out to our award-winning support team who made sure you had everything you needed to reach success this Giving Tuesday!

Our support team was there every step of the way for changemakers this Giving Tuesday, even helping out with some not-so-problematic problems. 😎

Givebutter gave back BIG this year!

We celebrated Giving Tuesday 2021 by championing changemakers all day long, and we’d love to share some of our favorite moments from this epic day of giving. 👇

After reviewing hundreds of incredible Giving Tuesday campaigns, we selected the following eight Most Creative Campaigns to donate $5,000 to on Giving Tuesday. 🤩

🧵 kNot Today Foundation raised $34k to fund the first-ever mobile forensic unit for the Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force →

🕺 The Unscripted Project raised $24k to launch and grow its free 10-week series of improv workshops in more schools in 2022 →

🐶 Monadnock Humane Society raised $25k to help provide bright new beginnings for the 166 pets who are currently in their shelter and waiting for a home this holiday season →

🍿 The Prospector Theater raised $9k to celebrate 7 years of providing meaningful employment to adults with disabilities →

🔎 L-CMD Research Foundation raised $20k to help fund the research and development of treatment for L-CMD through a fun and fast-paced Zoom dance class →

🎸 Rock to the Future raised $20k to provide no-cost music programs and keep the magic of music alive for Philadelphia students →

⚡️ Human-I-T raised $2k to provide devices, internet access, digital skills training, and tech support for communities left on the wrong side of the digital divide →

💪 Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges raised $34k by encouraging supporters to donate $8 or more and share 8 reasons why they support they Y →

Four times on Giving Tuesday, we also donated $500 to the five Most Active Campaigns on the Givebutter platform based on the number of campaign supporters they had during a four-hour window. 👯‍♀️

Giving Tuesday is the world’s largest celebration of generosity. It’s a day that encourages us all to come together to support the communities and causes we care most about.
